Preflight

Preflight is a test environment for batch recipes, plant automation, and control concepts. It allows you to test new processes and control logic on your plant’s digital twin before it goes live, and you can even train your operating personnel using the model. This way, errors become apparent in the model rather than during actual production. This shortens the commissioning process and saves you from costly trial-and-error on the actual plant.

TECHNICAL HIGHLIGHTS

  • Flexible integration of digital simulation twins – from a wide range of modeling environments, based on the open Functional Mock-up Interface (FMI) standard
  • Open coupling to plant systems – connects to automation and batch systems via OPC UA and other communication protocols
  • Test complex plant configurations – couple multiple plant sections, each with its associated automation
  • Embedded OPC UA server – test without a real PLC; external clients (PLC, SCADA, UaExpert) connect as usual
  • Freely scalable time – real-time, accelerated, or fast-forward, without changing the configuration
  • Cloud to air-gapped – deploy however you choose: in the cloud, on-premise, or fully offline in an isolated plant network
